As a Team Leader, this is what you ll be doing:

As the Team Lead, the primary role is to lead a team of Admissions Specialists across different regions in ensuring that all operational protocols and applications to our partner universities are attended to promptly and supporting other stakeholders by aligning those processes. This role also expects the candidate to be responsible for managing our Premium Partners as a priority which includes managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), evaluating applications from prospective students together with the assigned Admissions Specialists, and to handle all matters relating to QS apply partners with the support of the Global Director of Admissions. The Team Lead will also have direct interaction with new partner institutions to set up clear processes and maintain relations with the existing ones. They must ensure adherence to all regulations and company policies.

Role responsibilities

• Coordinate the processing of all student applications for our partners from submission to the outcome, to ensure that applications are treated promptly and within the standard service level agreement.
• Oversee the application processing student journey for applications to progress to the next stage based on agreed protocols and workflows for all QS Apply partners
• To offer high-quality customer service to all applicants, at all stages of the application process.
• Liaise with other members of the team and universities, to ensure prompt and complete academic consideration of each applicant.
• Manage admissions policies and procedures to ensure that they are efficient and comply with fair admissions and governmental policies.
• Coordinate with the Universities in the onboarding and admissions processes.
• Represent the admissions team in client meetings or training sessions with our partners as scheduled
• Prepare and brief other members of the team regarding bursary and scholarship awards; ensuring that all updates from clients are circulated and updated promptly
• Review team workloads and task assignments appropriately
• Prepare timely reports on volumes and execute a clear follow-up process
• Collaborate effectively with other stakeholders such as Partnerships team, Enrolment team and regional teams
• Knowledge of U.S qualifications and equivalencies as well as admissions requirements would be highly required
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Well-developed organisational skills.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Manage student data, to secure compliance with the Data Protection Act.

Key skills and experience

• Proven experience in higher education or a similar environment, ideally within student admissions and recruitment
• Excellent team management skills
• Experience in the education sector, including awareness of international education systems, especially for North American markets, market trends, government regulations, qualifications, and selection processes.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work and deliverables
• Flexibility and resourcefulness in meeting changing demands
