Presales Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team in the technical furniture industry. The primary responsibility of this role is to work closely with our field sales team and clients to understand custom requirements and provide suitable product solutions from our standard product range. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, a keen design sense, and a solid understanding of technical requirements. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and other Microsoft Office tools, along with a solution-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with field sales personnel to gather and understand client requirements for interior solutions.
2. Analyse custom requirements and recommend suitable products from our standard product range while ensuring technical compliance and commercial viability.
3. Bridge the gap between client requirements and our offerings by providing comprehensive solutions that meet both technical and commercial needs.
4. Prepare brief presentations using PowerPoint, and other relevant software to illustrate proposed solutions.
5. Provide commercial expertise and guidance, including knowledge of legal terms and commercial negotiations, to ensure successful project execution.
6. Conduct thorough techno-commercial assessments of proposed solutions, considering factors such as cost, profitability, and legal implications.
7. Communicate effectively with internal teams, including design, engineering, and legal departments, to ensure alignment on technical and commercial aspects of proposed solutions.
8. Maintain detailed records of client interactions, requirements, and proposed solutions.

Qualifications:

1. Postgraduate degree or MBA in a commercial field preferred.
2. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex techno-commercial requirements and propose viable solutions.
3. Decent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical and commercial information to diverse stakeholders.
4. Design sense and creativity to provide innovative solutions while adhering to technical and commercial requirements.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
6. Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think critically and problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Prior experience in a pre-sales or technical sales role in the interior industry is a plus.
