Finance and Accounts Manager

Roles & Responsibilities:

. Preparation and Finalization of Financial Statements

• Ensure the timely preparation and accurate finalization of financial statements, including the Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
• Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, ROC laws, and other applicable regulations while finalizing financial statements.
• Guarantee that all financial statements adhere to regulatory, statutory, and bank-related compliance standards.

2. Financial Coordination and Support

• Collaborate with sales, merchandising, and operations teams to ensure smooth transaction processing and proper coordination of financial books.
• Provide accurate financial data to support interdepartmental functions and decision-making processes.

3. Finance and Banking Compliance

• Prepare accurate stock statements, bank reconciliations, and inventory valuations.
• Ensure timely completion of bank CC interest calculations, credit rating processes, and preparation of CMA (Credit Monitoring Arrangement) data.
• Oversee vendor weight and amount reconciliation on a monthly basis and ensure no discrepancies or overdue receivables and payables are present

4. Audit Preparation and Compliance

• Lead and coordinate the preparation of audit documentation, addressing audit queries for statutory and tax audits.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory returns, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, ITC 04, DPT-3, AOC 4, and MSME Returns.
• Maintain all compliance records for Company Law-related items, such as DIR-3 KYC, MGT-7 Shareholding Patterns, and Board Resolutions.

5. Internal Controls and Risk Management

• Develop, implement, and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain orderly records.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks while enhancing profitability in financial operations and processes.

6. Budgeting and Forecasting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze and review variances between budgeted and actual performance, providing detailed explanations for significant discrepancies.

7. Statutory Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of all regulatory filings as per statutory requirements.
• Maintain an updated record of all statutory returns and filings in compliance with financial and operational laws.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors and Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CA or CS preferred).
• Proven experience as a Finance and Accounts Manager or similar role, preferably in the jewellery or retail industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
