Job Description
About the client: PSS has been mandated to hire a Head - Solar Business for a company with over 45 years of profound expertise in solar energy. The organization is committed to driving Indias green and clean energy initiative. Aligned with the global commitment to achieving net-zero emissions, it actively endeavors to shape a sustainable future for the nation through innovative solar power solutions.
The main focus extends across a range of high-quality solar products, including modules, inverters, and streetlights, complemented by reliable turnkey services for Solar EPC projects and O&M.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and enhancing P&L for the entire Solar business with continued growth in top line as well as market share in distributed solar space
- Strategizing to enhance solar business and implementing agreed strategy with management in totality
- Manage and motivate the entire team spread across the country for Solar BU
- Management reporting on a regular basis for P&L, Balance sheet, Inventory Sales Planning, Sales &Optimisation and other deliverables as required from time to time and requested by management
- Devise and implement business plan on a yearly basis as well as mid/long term
- Manage all compliance as required for ethical business operations
- Motivating team members for optimum performance
- Ensuring smooth coordination with cross-functional teams for smoother business operations
- Managing safety, quality, and compliance for all the products and projects
Educational Qualifications And Experience:
- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical or Electronics) preferably Post graduation in Business Administration
- Minimum 20 years of experience in the Industry with a minimum of 5 years in the Solar Industry. Should have experience of managing independently one full business function on PAN India basis.
