Job Description & Summary:
- A career within Merger and Acquisition Tax, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients leverage M&A Tax to enhance their customer experiences.
Job Position Title: Manager/Sr. Manager (Level) - Merger and Acquisition Tax (Competency) M&A tax - Skill - TRS (LOS) - Chennai/Mumbai/Bangalore(Location).
Responsibilities:
- PwC's M&A Tax & Regulatory practice provides end-to-end solutions for different types of domestic and cross-border transactions including mergers, demergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, inbound and outbound advisory, transaction and business model structuring, due diligence and family arrangements.
The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of a Manager will include the following:
- Ideation and end to end execution of client deliverables ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Conducting due diligence on targets.
- Client relationship management.
- Interaction with Government authorities.
- MIS management.
- People management.
- Business development.
- Interaction with other advisors and professionals within and outside PwC.
Mandatory skill sets:
- Working in this discipline will see a Manager working on multiple engagements and teams (sizes of which will vary depending on client/project).
To qualify for the same a Manager will need:
- To be a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years' of relevant experience.
- Thorough technical knowledge of Direct Tax, Corporate laws, Stamp Duty, FEMA and SEBI Regulations.
Other prerequisite skills include:
- Demonstrating innovative and critical thinking in providing solutions to client queries & managing projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Well-rounded commercial and economic awareness and understanding of the financial markets.
- Good interpersonal and networking skills.
- Passion for client servicing.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Excellent eye for detail.
- Efficiency in MS office and report writing skills.
- Motivated, creative and decisive in approach to problem solving.
- Ownership and responsibility of clients/tasks delegated.
Preferred skill sets:
- Merger and Acquisition tax
Year of experience required:
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of Merger and Acquisition tax experience.
Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant
