ServiceNow Technical Architect, Lead Engineer, and SSE Roles

Experience: Varies based on role (SSE: 4+ years, Lead: 6+ years, Architect: 10+ years)

Overview:

We are seeking skilled professionals at various levels (Technical Architect, Lead Engineer, and SSE) to join our team and contribute to the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform for our clients. These roles involve leading teams, driving technical solutions, and ensuring seamless delivery of IT services through the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities (All Roles):

• Collaborate with process owners and stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Configure and develop ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, CSM, and custom applications.
• Perform system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and other web-based technologies.
• Adhere to ServiceNow best practices for platform administration, development, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve platform issues while documenting processes and workflows.
• Build customized dashboards, reports, and notifications to meet organizational needs.
• Maintain alignment with ITIL and Agile methodologies for service management and project execution.

Specific Responsibilities for Technical Architect:

• Design scalable and adaptable architecture strategies to meet business goals and customer needs.
• Evaluate technical solutions, propose data models, and recommend cost-effective options.
• Oversee platform upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Mentor junior team members, setting a high standard for design and coding practices.
• Implement compliance architecture, metadata management, and change control processes.
• Manage large-scale enterprise projects, including multi-channel delivery systems and client-facing implementations.

Specific Responsibilities for Lead Engineer:

• Lead a team of 4-6 ServiceNow developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Own the design, build, and implementation of platform changes and feature enhancements.
• Review architectural solutions and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Drive the development of process integrations, flow designs, and data models.
• Propose and implement improvements to existing workflows, enhancing efficiency and user experience.

Specific Responsibilities for SSE:

• Work collaboratively with the Lead Engineer to develop, test, and implement ServiceNow solutions.
• Perform minor and major enhancements to the ServiceNow platform, including changes to UI, workflows, and system properties.
• Assist in building and maintaining APIs and data integration processes between ServiceNow and external systems.
• Ensure quality deliverables within project timelines, reporting progress to senior team members.

Qualifications:

For All Roles:

• Education: Bachelor's or Masters degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, customization, and integration.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, TSM, OMT, and Order Management.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, AngularJS, and HTML.
• Hands-on expertise with platform components such as Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Business Rules, and Script Includes.
• Familiarity with TMF APIs (e.g., TMF622, TMF641, TMF640) and telecom domain processes (e.g., eTOM, SID).
• Experience with ITIL-based practices (certifications preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Requirements for Architects and Leads:

• Architect:
• 10+ years of experience in IT with significant exposure to ServiceNow platform solutions.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, system design, and large-scale implementations.
• Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and others (TSM/OMT preferred).
• Lead Engineer:
• 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, with 4+ years leading teams.
• Expertise in product and service modeling, API development, and system integrations.

Certifications (Preferred):

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Certifications in TSM, OMT, or other ServiceNow modules.
• ITIL v3/v4 certification for best practices in IT Service Management.
