Job Description

Role & responsibilities


Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Identify and target new business opportunities within assigned regions or industries.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients and evaluate competitor offerings.
  • Develop and execute strategies for lead generation and networking, leveraging both traditional and digital channels.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Regularly engage with clients to understand their business needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.

3. Sales and Negotiation

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create customized proposals and presentations.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to achieve maximum profitability while meeting client requirements.

4. Market Expansion

  • Identify and pursue new business avenues, including untapped geographical regions, industry sectors, and customer segments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and enhance the companys field presence.

5. Reporting and Analysis

  • Monitor and report on sales progress, pipeline status, and emerging market trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities using the CRM system.
  • Provide actionable feedback to leadership on business development strategies and opportunities for improvement.

6. Target Achievement

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
  • Take full ownership of your sales territory, driving its growth and contributing to the overall success of the business development team.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field (preferably in the same industry).
  • Strong understanding of market trends and client needs within the industry.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time in a field-based role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as required within the designated field territory.
  • Experience in a field-based business development role.
  • Existing network of industry contacts.
