Lead - Payroll (3-5 yrs)

- Work closely with the Payroll Supervisor to manage the daily activities of the Department and employee productivity.
- Responsibilities include processing payroll, training new hires, problem resolution, and suggesting best practices on department procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for designated clients and serve as backup for payroll processors.
- Train new employees and clients on payroll procedures, software, company practices, policies and procedures.
- Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately.
- Develop best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy of payroll processes.
- Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures.
- Assist in payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax filings, and child support.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee payroll records.
- Work with AP and taxes to process current year voids.
- Address payroll related queries and requests.
- Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions.
- Follow and enforce federal, state and local laws.
- Participate in hiring process.
- Thorough understanding of client PTO configuration and rules to ensure system is functioning appropriately and PTO is used and tracked properly.
- Review client data for accuracy, prior to import to ensure file is not rejected.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Self-motivated, professional capable of working with minimal supervision, ability to reflect and yourself accountable.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting concrete deadlines.
- Must have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize and quickly switch between projects and priorities.
- Ability to work effectively, with internal and external employees with diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to adapt message for audience.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of payroll experience.
- 2+ years of PEO, ASO, multi-site or multi-state payroll experience.
- Experience with Prism and HR Pyramid preferred.
- PrismHR is a fast-paced SaaS company which provides customers with a cloud-based payroll process software application.
- PrismHR also provides professional services including system implementation consulting, custom configurations, and training.
- Lastly, via the Company's Marketplace platform customers and end users access other human resources and employee benefits applications from PrismHR's Marketplace Partners.
