Responsibilities Lead Consultant - Capacity Panning Experience - 15+ Pune/Hyderabad 10.30 AM - 7.30 PM Capacity Planner - Lead Consultant Capacity and Usage Tracking, forecast future financials, Projecting future capacity, cost analysis and observations Capacity and Consumption / Usage Capacity - Physical size by copy, by type, by location, use case Usage - in use by Primary and DR, compared to thresholds Track TB usage over time - annual growth (primary only, all types) Software license consumption past, current and projection for growth Software license requirements Reports Power BI reports in place Creating new reports/tables (will be more successful if can build their own) Storage Cost analysis Total Cost, unit cost by type, country Trends As percentage of service and TCO Comparisons to cloud offerings Forecast Start and End dates for lease or depreciation Maintenance end date consideration Forecasting for lifecycle and growth Overall run rate for storage, and by storage type Execute New purchase and/or Lifecycle of storage: Bidding, Buying, Approvals, Transition to Service Lifecycle Planning Submitting GEP (or equivalent) Requirements and Configuration - Work with the product owner to confirm / update the selection of the storage OEM, Model, Type (what are the valid architectures for the use case) Performance Characteristics Data reduction capabilities Sizing - Plus x months/years of growth Configuration - Drive size, Memory, Ports, etc. Software Support New bid or use prior transactions as precedent for cost do we move workloads, does something not life cycling need to be improved where we can leverage this buy, etc. Are we changing things, standard sizing, remapping, rebuilding pools Bidding process Work with Global Sourcing to communicate requirements, timing, presentation of bid Work with suppliers and OEMs - sizing, requirements, duration of support, expectations of anything unusual, help them submit the right thing Any services to include (install, configure, etc.) Approval, Purchase and Transition to Service Selection process Cost per TB, cost per usable, positive/negative factors causing capacity needed Ex: Waste per array ( you can only run to 80% ) Integration with other services and transition to production Considerations: Network, Facilities, Power, Impact to VMWare pools, SAN Approval - approval limits, approval memo, working with Sourcing and Product owner Build MFAM - model, deprecation, work with buyer to get PO done Receipt - did we get what we ordered, timing, correct location, config, etc. Software Asset Management, Building a team/Limited HR Responsibilities Qualifications BE/B.Tech or Any graduate Additional Information In depth knowledge of compute/Virtualisation/storage technologies. Should have managed multi location data centre and related technologies. Techno Commercial Capabilities AWS/Azure Cloud Exposure Meticulous Approach, attention to detail. Ability to work independently Ability to work with various products owners across domains Team Player
