Head NPD Global Sourcing - Electronic Components

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive NPD Materials Procurement Head specializing in Electronics to join our dynamic team at Pricol Limited. In this role, she/he will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials essential for the development and production of automotive electronics within our organization. This position requires a deep understanding of electronics components sourcing, supplier relationship management, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for automotive electronics materials aligned with the company's NPD (New Product Development) goals.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers capable of meeting quality, cost, delivery, and innovation requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing, delivery, and service levels.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions as necessary to address issues and improve overall supplier performance.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to understand material requirements and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with overall project timelines and objectives.
• Provide timely updates and reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings initiatives to senior management.

Risk Management:

• Proactively identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply.
• Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes that may impact materials sourcing and procurement strategies.

Cost Management and Optimization:

• Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and negotiation strategies without compromising quality or reliability.
• Optimize inventory levels and lead times to support production schedules and minimize excess and obsolete inventory.

Compliance and Ethical Sourcing:

• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
• Promote sustainability initiatives and ethical sourcing practices within the supply chain.
