Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations at our Graphite Manufacturing Plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality graphite products while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the mechanical and chemical processes of the plant, ensuring operational excellence, and leading a dedicated team to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee Daily Operations:
   Ensure the smooth operation of the graphite manufacturing process, optimizing performance, and ensuring all products meet the required quality standards. Monitor production lines, manage workflows, and identify areas for improvement to meet production targets.
2. Leadership and Team Management:
   Lead, guide, and manage the plants operations team, including supervising staff and assigning tasks. Motivate the team to meet daily, weekly, and long-term goals while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
3. Production Scheduling and Resource Management:
   Continuously monitor and analyze production schedules, resource allocation, and workflows. Take proactive measures to prevent production delays and inefficiencies, adjusting resources as necessary to meet demand and ensure a continuous flow of production.
4. Process Improvement:
   Collaborate with the team to identify areas for enhancing productivity, whether through process improvements, technology upgrades, or employee training. Work to reduce operational costs while maintaining high production standards.
5. Compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental Regulations:
   Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Regularly assess plant operations to ensure safety protocols are followed, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
6. Cross-Department Coordination:
   Coordinate with various departments, including maintenance, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations across the plant. Facilitate cooperation between departments to achieve common production goals.
7. Troubleshooting Operational Issues:
   Quickly address operational issues as they arise. Troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently, implementing solutions to minimize downtime and ensuring production targets are met.
8. Shift Planning and Team Scheduling:
   Develop and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times. Optimize labor efficiency by ensuring that team members are working according to their assigned rosters.
9. Reporting and Performance Analysis:
   Provide regular reports on production performance, highlighting any bottlenecks or issues affecting efficiency. Offer actionable recommendations for improvement and communicate them to relevant departments.
10. Inventory and Material Management:
    Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all required materials are available when needed for production. Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely ordering of supplies and raw materials.
11. Communication with Senior Management:
    Maintain transparent and proactive communication with higher management, taking ownership of plant operations. Provide regular updates on performance metrics, challenges, and solutions.
12. Handling Supervisor and Worker Concerns:
    Address and resolve day-to-day concerns from supervisors and workers. Support conflict resolution and handle grievances to ensure a productive and harmonious work environment.
13. Collaboration with HR Department:
    Work closely with HR in the recruitment process to hire suitable candidates for plant operations. Help evaluate team members' performance and identify areas for further training and development.
14. Ensuring Task Completion and Policy Adherence:
    Ensure that all team members complete their tasks effectively and in alignment with company policies. Monitor and support the team to ensure tasks are completed on time and comply with safety and operational guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• Experience: Proven experience in plant operations, preferably in manufacturing or the graphite industry.
• Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. In-depth knowledge of mechanical and chemical processes, quality control, and safety standards.
• Other Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience in maintaining and operating a factory with wet processing cycles.

Salary Package:

• ₹8 LPA - ₹10 LPA, depending on experience.
