Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant & Machine Design Engineer with 7-15 years of experience in plant design and construction. The successful candidate will have expertise in various aspects of plant design, mechanical engineering, process flow design, equipment installation, and structural design. You will work in a collaborative environment and take a leading role in the development and execution of engineering designs for industrial plants and machines.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plant Design & Construction: Design, plan, and implement industrial plant layouts, including structures, process flows, mechanical systems, and electrical circuits.
• Mechanical Engineering: Analyse and design mechanical systems, components, and machinery, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
• Process Flow Design: Design efficient and sustainable process flows for plant operations, coordinating with the process engineering team to meet production requirements.
• Structural Design: Develop detailed structural designs for plant buildings, platforms, foundations, and support structures in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Equipment Installation: Supervise and guide the installation and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and other essential plant equipment.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as electrical, instrumentation, and process engineers to ensure smooth integration of plant systems.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all design and construction activities meet industry standards, quality assurance protocols, and safety regulations.
• Project Documentation: Maintain detailed records of designs, specifications, and drawings, ensuring compliance with internal documentation standards.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during the construction phase and after the plant is operational.
• Cost Optimization: Contribute to cost-effective plant design solutions while maintaining high-quality engineering standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 5-7 years of experience in plant design, construction, and mechanical engineering, particularly in the areas of process flow design, structural design, and equipment installation.

• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) for plant layout, mechanical designs, and structural planning.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical circuits and their integration with plant systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, material selection, and fabrication techniques.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (such as ASME, IEC, ISO).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and interact with different departments.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in plant design or mechanical engineering will be a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to a variety of plant construction projects (e.g., chemical, power, manufacturing).
• Experience with project management, including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
