About the Job :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP MDM Technical Consultant to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in SAP Master Data Management (MDM) and ABAP development, with a proven track record of developing and implementing robust MDM solutions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring data consistency, integrity, and compliance across our SAP landscape. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities :

SAP MDM Solution Development and Implementation :

- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive SAP MDM solutions to meet business requirements.

- Configure and customize SAP MDM functionalities to ensure optimal performance and data quality.

- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-go-live support.

ABAP Development and Integration :

- Develop and maintain ABAP programs, including custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.

- Implement ALE (IDOC) interfaces for data exchange between SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Develop and maintain Web Services for seamless data integration.

- Troubleshoot and resolve ABAP-related issues.

Master Data Management and Optimization :

- Manage and optimize master data processes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

- Define and implement data governance policies and procedures.

- Monitor and improve master data quality through data cleansing and validation activities.

Support and Troubleshooting :

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP MDM and data governance issues.

- Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.

- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with functional teams and business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates.

Enhancements and Innovation :

- Enhance existing SAP MDM solutions using Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP) and ABAP on S/4 HANA.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP MDM trends and technologies.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Data Integrity and Compliance :

- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and compliance with business standards and regulatory requirements.

- Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.

Mandatory Skills :

- 5-10 years of experience in SAP MDM technical development.

- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in ABAP development.

- 2-4 years of experience with ALE (IDOC) interfaces.

- 2-4 years of experience with Web Services development.

- 2-4 years of practical experience with Master Data Management.

- Strong understanding of SAP MDM concepts and principles.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with ABAP 7.4.

- Knowledge of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).

- Proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP).

- Experience with ABAP on S/4 HANA.

- Experience with data quality tools.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- SAP certifications (preferred).
