Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) Consultant to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW Classic, demonstrating deep expertise in data modeling, data warehousing principles, and data integration. This role will focus on providing expert consulting and technical guidance for SAP BW and Oracle DBMS within the PICOS framework, encompassing migration, enhancements, and ongoing support. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, problem-solver, and team player, capable of translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP BW Development and Consulting :

- Design, develop, and implement SAP BW solutions based on business requirements, focusing on SAP BW Classic.

- Provide expert consulting on SAP BW architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization.

- Conduct thorough analysis of existing SAP BW systems and propose improvements for efficiency and scalability.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

Data Modeling and Data Warehousing :

- Design and implement robust and efficient data models within SAP BW, adhering to best practices.

- Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions that support business intelligence and reporting needs.

- Ensure data quality and consistency through data validation and cleansing processes.

Data Integration :

- Design and implement data integration scenarios between SAP BW and other systems, including SAP and non-SAP applications.

- Utilize SAP BW data integration tools and techniques to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues to ensure seamless data flow.

Oracle DBMS Interaction :

- Work closely with Oracle DBMS, understanding its integration with SAP BW.

- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot database-related issues.

- Consult on database migration and enhancement related to the PICOS framework.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Provide knowledge transfer and training to team members and end-users.

- Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation.

PICOS Framework Support :

- Provide expert consulting relating to SAP BW & Oracle DBMS for migration and enhancements within the PICOS framework.

- Understand and adhere to the PICOS framework guidelines and standards.

Required Qualifications :

Experience :

- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience as an SAP BW Consultant, with a focus on SAP BW Classic.

Technical Skills :

- Expert-level knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.

- Strong proficiency in relational database technologies, particularly Oracle DBMS, including SQL and database administration fundamentals.

- Extensive experience in SAP BW data integration scenarios, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

- Solid understanding of SAP BW data modeling techniques, including InfoCubes, DataStore Objects (DSOs), and MultiProviders.

- Proficiency in BW query design and performance optimization.

Domain Knowledge :

- Knowledge of the purchasing domain and related business processes.

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) :

- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud for reporting and visualization.

Integration Platforms :

- Familiarity with integration platforms such as SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS), and other relevant technologies.

- Knowledge of other SAP modules such as SAP MM or SAP SD.

- Experience with BW/4HANA.
