Job Description

Job Overview
The incumbent will have complete Sales/BD responsibility for Piramal Nutrition Solutions in the India market and will be responsible for representing PNS as a point of contact in a wide variety of settings viz. conferences, trade shows, client visits, presentations, etc. He/she will develop and maintain business relationships with existing and potential domestic clients, coordinate multiple client projects simultaneously, while working closely with representatives from all departments to deliver the sales plan and support growth of the Nutrition business in the assigned territory.

Reports to: AVP & Business Head

Experience
  • Solid and demonstrable experience of 12- 15 years in the Nutrition space handling Domestic markets with at least 4-5 years of handling sales teams
  • Has a strong understanding and researching of pricing fluctuations in the market and how said fluctuations impact sales process moving forward.
  • Experience in Human health and/or Animal health sector
Key Responsibilities
  • Strengthen relationships with existing customers to explore cross-selling and repeat business avenues and focus on key account management
  • Provide leadership to domestic Sales/BD team and strengthen the culture of performance, innovation and continuous learning
  • Set, monitor & achieve targets of sales team for the respective site / location budget inclusive of monthly and quarterly reports
  • Identify sales opportunities and establish relationships with existing customers to generate future sales, avenues for cross selling and repeat business. Develop and implement plans for key accounts in assigned territory
  • Contact new accounts and leverage network to map opportunities
  • Negotiate agreements of sale to close accounts and secure long-term agreements
  • Interface with supply planning/production functions and logistics/shipping team to ensure dispatch as per customer timelines and liaise with regulatory team to meet statutory requirements
  • Partner with R&D and Strategic Marketing teams to identify new products and ensure that they are developed as per agreed timelines and costs
  • Participate in strategy and annual planning meetings. Report out on sales performance and funnel. Develop forecast, budget and track performance
  • Retain, expand and strengthen client relationships by ensuring high-quality customer service and issue resolution
  • Lead goal setting, mid-year and performance review for team members and provide feedback
Competencies
  • Solid demonstration of negotiation and sales skills including key account management alongside fellow sales team
  • Willingness and ability to learn and grasp new ideas both independently and collaboratively
  • High levels of initiative, self-motivation and energy with an ability to work well within a commercial team
  • Ability to deal to manage complex information and strong leadership and people management skills
  • Highly organized with an ability to work effectively to deadlines. A high attention to detail with an ability to follow through on commitments
  • Ability to handle and activity participate in client visits across India
  • Strong communication skills
Bachelor s degree in a scientific subject or equivalent experience in a relevant environment. (chemistry, biology etc.), MBA Preferred
