Job Description - UI/UX Designer

Role Purpose :

We're seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer whose primary focus would be to create elegant and customer-focused designs that provides a superior experience working in close collaboration with business, product, technology and design teams across locations.

You will get the opportunity to own comprehensive end to end experiences, work across the Pine Labs online services and provide relevant presentations of expansive content and functionality. The job requires you to completely understand Indian merchants and their users and their usage behaviour and create new /modified experience to suit their needs.

Responsibilities we entrust you with :

- Design intuitive, user-friendly, and visually engaging interfaces for web and mobile applications.

- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand project requirements and translate them into design solutions.

- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs based on user feedback and business requirements.

- Conduct user research (e.g., surveys, interviews, and usability testing) to gain insights into user needs and pain points.

- Analyse user feedback to iterate on designs and ensure the final product meets user expectations.

- Collaborate with the team to implement user-cantered design processes, ensuring designs are effective and user-friendly.

- Work closely with Product/developers/Business to ensure smooth implementation of designs and to maintain consistency across the application.

- Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and team meetings to present and discuss design concepts.

- Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure that designs are modern and competitive.

- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design systems and UI component libraries to ensure consistency across all platforms.

- Follow best practices for creating responsive and accessible designs that work across multiple devices.

- Create and maintain design documentation, including wireframes, user flows, and style guides.

- Provide regular updates on design progress and communicate challenges or roadblocks.

What matters in this role :

- 2+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.

- A strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and a range of completed projects (including web and mobile).

- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma.

- Solid understanding of UI design principles (layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy).

- Strong focus on user-centered design (UCD) with the ability to translate user insights into actionable design solutions.

- Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to solving design challenges.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Knowledge of design accessibility best practices.
