Pine Labs - Software Quality Assurance Engineer (2-5 yrs)

The Expectation :

- Essentially being responsible for maintaining the product quality and release a bug free feature on production by using the best industry practices around Software Testing.

- Create globally recognised technology life-cycle management and ITSM processes & practices.

- Owning the E2E testing of the Pine Labs payment products for Offline Payments.

- Releasing high-standard quality software to production

- Test Planning and Documentation

- Create test plans outlining the testing approach, scope, resources, and schedule.

- Develop test cases and test scripts based on detailed specifications and requirements.

- Document test procedures and expected outcomes.

- Report defects and issues found during testing and track them to closure using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).

- Verify fixes and perform follow-up tests to ensure problems have been resolved satisfactorily.

- Maintain detailed documentation of test results, methodologies, and procedures.

- Generate test summary reports for stakeholders, highlighting testing activities, status, and issues encountered.

- Ensure adherence of engineering best practices partnering with the engineering managers and tech leads

- Raising the bar for quality, availability, resiliency, and uptime of the platform.

- Researching and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software testing.

- Ensuring that features / product / platform buildouts comply with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

- Work well under pressure and be comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

- Being a dynamic organization, role will keep evolving based on appetite and performance. Coach and guide team members in Agile frameworks to drive results/performance

- Strong working experience in Manual Testing, Regression Testing, Database, API Testing.

- Strong experience in writing Automation Scripts

- Preferred but not mandatory - understanding of ISO 8583, Card Transaction Flows.

- Strong working experience on monoliths, microservices & reactive systems.

- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to do a cost benefit analysis of commercial vs Open source solutions.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong analytical skills.
