Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
    • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding sales across different products and regions.
    • Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet organizational goals and targets.
    • Prepare and monitor sales forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market conditions.
  2. Key Account Management:
    • Build, nurture, and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
    • Identify opportunities within accounts for upselling or cross-selling products and services, contributing to revenue growth.
  3. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct regular market research to identify new sales opportunities and industry trends.
    • Analyze competitor strategies and industry developments to adjust sales tactics accordingly.
    • Review sales performance and customer feedback to continuously refine sales processes, ensuring optimum results.
  4. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
    • Provide training and ongoing support to junior sales staff, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to succeed.
    • Promote a collaborative, goal-oriented culture within the team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  5. Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:
    • Seek out new customers and business opportunities through proactive networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging professional relationships.
    • Develop tailored proposals and presentations to meet the specific needs of potential clients.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional post-sales support, addressing concerns, and responding to inquiries promptly.
  6. Sales Operations and Reporting:
    • Manage the complete sales process, from prospecting to closing, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
    • Prepare detailed sales reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), pipeline development, and financial forecasts.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on sales progress, market conditions, and challenges.
    • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and deals in the company CRM system.
  7. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
    • Work closely with product development, marketing, and operations teams to align on product launches, promotions, and market strategies.
    • Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment, delivery timelines, and post-sale support.
    • Engage in cross-functional meetings to align on company-wide goals, objectives, and customer-centric initiatives.
  8. Negotiation and Contract Management:
    • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with customers, ensuring that all agreements are mutually beneficial and meet company policies.
    • Oversee contract renewals, amendments, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with key accounts.
  9. Customer Training and Product Demonstration:
    • Conduct training sessions and product demonstrations for clients and prospects, showcasing the technical capabilities and benefits of the products.
    • Ensure customers are well-versed in using the products effectively, ensuring optimal satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  10. Performance Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve sales techniques and methodologies to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.
  • Drive innovative solutions to sales challenges, incorporating new tools, technologies, and strategies.

Mandatory candidate profile


  • Bachelors degree in engineering (IC/Electrical/Electronics) + MBA in Marketing (preferred).

Preffered candidate profile


  • Proven experience in sales, ideally within the industrial automation or electrical/switchgear industry.
  • Strong understanding of the industrial automation market and customer needs.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and coaching teams to success.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and business development.
