Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java , Selenium / Cypress , and Rest Assured for web applications and APIs.
- Write test cases in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) format using tools like Cucumber to align with business requirements.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated regression, functional, and integration tests to validate software functionality.
- Integrate automated tests into Jenkins pipelines for continuous testing in CI/CD workflows.
- Analyze test results and generate detailed reports to provide feedback to the development team.
- Collaborate with developers and other QA engineers to understand requirements, design test plans, and enhance overall test coverage.
- Troubleshoot and debug test failures, ensuring effective defect management.
- Maintain and improve the automated testing framework and test scripts for scalability, efficiency, and robustness.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test progress and defects using test management tools like Jira or similar.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automation testing with Java and Selenium for web-based applications or Cypress .
- Strong understanding of RESTful Web Services and hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API testing.
- Experience in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and knowledge of Gherkin syntax for writing test scenarios.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins for continuous integration and automated test execution.
- Strong knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git .
- Familiarity with test management tools like Jira , TestNG , or JUnit .
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills to identify and fix issues in the automated test scripts.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
