Business Process & Logistics Operations Specialist

Position Overview:

A skilled professional responsible for managing end to end logistics operations, specializing in transportation and warehouse management for heavy, big and bulky cargo. This role serves as a key liaison between clients, drivers and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation Operations:

- Manage and optimize daily transportation operations, including route planning, driver assignments and delivery scheduling for heavy and oversized cargo

- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining compliance with safety regulations

- Monitor shipment status and resolve any transportation related issues proactively

- Utilize Transport Management System (TMS) to track shipments and maintain operational efficiency

Warehouse Management:

- Oversee warehouse operations through Warehouse Management System (WMS)

- Ensure proper inventory management and storage of heavy and bulky items

- Monitor warehouse capacity and optimize space utilization

- Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate stock movements

Client Management:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment status and logistics requirements

- Prepare and submit accurate quotes to customers based on cargo specifications and routing requirements

- Generate and process customer invoices in a timely manner

- Handle client inquiries and resolve any service-related issues promptly

Business Process Management:

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

- Maintain documentation of standard operating procedures

- Generate regular reports on operational performance metrics

- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field

- 2+ years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in 3PL or transportation industry

- Proven experience with WMS and TMS systems

- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety requirements

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong communication and coordination abilities

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of freight rate calculations and quotation preparation

- Previous experience in a 3PL environment

- Familiarity with logistics industry best practices
