Job Description

Overview

The Commercial Services Architect role is responsible for supporting Sales Transformation & Commercial Domain EA in defining the global north star architecture for Sales & Service (capabilities, technology standards), governing and ensure organization aligns with enterprise standards and uses common solutions, defining the architecture for Sales Transformation and Commercial Services programs and providing architecture coaching/guidance to sector EAs for sector specific Sales Transformation & Commercial initiatives, towards reducing IT costs and complexity and ensuring long term viability of solutions.

Responsibilities

Support Domain EAs in defining north star reference architectures for domain (capability models, with common terminology, definitions, and flows).

Support Domain EAs in defining technology strategy for domain. Co-lead the evaluation and selection of solutions/platforms to meet global/sector needs.

Support Domain EAs in evangelizing and increase awareness of global reference architectures and tech standards for domain across the enterprise.

Support Domain EAs in shaping the technology strategy of Sales Transformation & Commercial initiatives to maximize alignment with standards. Help close fit gaps with standards to minimize local solutions.

Support Domain EAs in delivery of consistent solution architecture (conceptual, logical, and physical architecture) for key transformation initiatives to ensure solution is fit for purpose, flexible, scalable, and sustainable.

Understand new demand to improve Commercial Services including automation, service delivery, and reporting & analytics.

Help guide / support sector Commercial architects in defining solution architecture for sector specific projects.Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or similar field, Masters preferred.

15 + years of software industry experience.

8 + years of solution architecture experience.

In-depth knowledge and practical experience of the primary Commercial business processes including Selling & Ordering, Merchandising, Delivery, Digital Sales, Service & Execution, and Customer Service.

In-depth knowledge and practical experience of B2B sales & order, customer loyalty & engagement, and Customer Relationship Management processes.

In-depth knowledge of data & analytics and integration architecture patterns, PepsiConnect Commerce platform, and key concepts for guided selling, next best action, smart ordering, planogram compliance, etc.

Experience with key vendor software packages including SAP, Salesforce CRM, PIM Core, Omnitracs OT1, Bringoz, etc.

Ability to comprehend business strategies and needs and translate them to technology strategies.

Effective conceptual selling experience.

Ability to demonstrate a mindset for the Conceptual, Logical, Physical levels of architecture and apply them effectively.

Systems thinking, understanding of relationships between various systems.

Strong thought leadership and executive storytelling skills, assertive and trusted advisor, and ability to produce high-quality deliverables.

Understanding of integration technologies and patterns; data architecture and patterns.
