Network Support Engineer - Cisco/Juniper (5-7 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Network Support and Troubleshooting :

- Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.

- Analyze network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions.

- Perform proactive monitoring and maintenance of network devices.

- Conduct root cause analysis for network outages and incidents.

- Participate in 24/7 on-call support as required.

Network Configuration and Management :

- Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

- Implement network security policies and procedures.

- Perform network capacity planning and optimization.

- Deploy and maintain network infrastructure components.

Network Security :

- Monitor network security and implement security best practices.

- Respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.

- Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing.

Vendor Management :

- Coordinate with network vendors to resolve issues and obtain technical support.

- Evaluate and select network hardware and software solutions.

Qualifications and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and support.

- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, IP routing, switching, VLANs, VPN, QoS).

- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and F5 technologies.

- Experience with network management tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, Zenoss).

- Knowledge of network security concepts and practices.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto, F5, Fortinet) preferred.

Additional Skills :

- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.

- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Understanding of network virtualization technologies (SD-WAN, SDN)
