SAP Advanced Business Application Programming Consultant (6-8 yrs)

We are currently hiring for SAP ABAP Consultant for one of our IT Client in Bangalore location.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Design and Development :

- Analyze business requirements and create detailed technical specifications.

- Design, develop, and implement SAP ABAP programs, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

- Optimize existing code to enhance performance and maintainability.

Collaboration with Functional Teams :

- Work closely with SAP functional consultants (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.) to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ABAP programs and SAP modules.

Integration and Interfaces :

- Develop and support integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and OData services.

- Ensure smooth data transfer through middleware tools (e.g , PI/PO, CPI).

Documentation and Quality Assurance :

- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and test scripts.

- Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

Upgrades and Enhancements :

- Assist in SAP version upgrades, ensuring all custom programs and extensions are compatible.

- Implement new functionalities using user exits, BADIs, enhancements, and Fiori apps when required.

Support and Maintenance :

- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for live SAP environments.

- Monitor performance and resolve ABAP-related issues in production systems.

Skills and Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- Proficient in SAP ABAP/4 programming and debugging.

- Hands-on experience with SmartForms, SAPScripts, and Adobe Forms.

- Strong knowledge of enhancement frameworks (user exits, BADIs, enhancement spots).

- Familiarity with SAP Fiori and OData development is a plus.

Experience :

- Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.

- Exposure to various SAP modules like SD, MM, FI/CO, PP, etc.

Tools and Technologies :

- Knowledge of SAP HANA and CDS Views is preferred.

- Experience with SAP Solution Manager and version control tools (e.g, Git).

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Ability to work under minimal supervision and deliver within tight deadlines.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- SAP ABAP certification is a plus.
