Senior Product Managers at Airbase by Paylocity discover and define problems. They apply the strategy lens to assess the impact of solving the problem and then, they work with designers and engineers to define and solve the problem. Sr. Product Managers at Airbase by Paylocity also work closely with a multi-faceted stakeholder ecosystem to align and execute up cross-functional goals. These groups include Customer Assist, Sales, Customer Success, Solutions Consulting, and Product Marketing.
The role will pit you at the intersection of different domains such as Accounting, SaaS, Enterprise-grade software and financial technologies. In this role, you will team up closely with the Guided Procurement and Vendor Management teams to design and deliver seamless workflows tailored for Procurement Managers, Vendor Managers, Employees (end-users), and Controllers. Your focus will be on creating intuitive and efficient solutions for both web and mobile platforms, ensuring a smooth user experience across all touchpoints.
During the first six months at Paylocity, you will:
Apply product discovery, Data and business acumen to identify customer and user problems
Apply the lens of strategy, user goals and Airbase by Paylocity purpose to prioritize problems to solve
Evangelize and communicate the product plan
Apply low fidelity design to present vision for solutions to problems
Work Collectively with engineers and designers to arrive at the detailed solutions to problems
Work Collectively with Sales and Customer Success to Acknowledge and eliminate obstacles to adoption and usage
Work with Marketing to bring new features to life on various communication touch points
Own the roadmap for one or more parts of the product
Work with engineering and design to plan launch scope
Partner with engineering and design, break-down scope into launch iterations
Required Experience:
Gained 5+ years of experience in product management in agile development environments
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and Relational skills
An engineering / technical background that will allow you to reason about product trade-offs and make good choices without significant input from engineers
You should have been a practicing engineer for at least 2 years before becoming a product manager
You should have a track record of shipping high quality products and features and owning the process end to end
Experience building modern web applications
Familiarity with modern UX/UI patterns
Attention to detail - great products are all about the details
