Role & responsibilities

• Conducting transportation bids
• Sourcing and engaging reliable transport partners
• Negotiating with transport partners to secure advantageous terms
• Preparing and reviewing existing contracts with vendors to ensure on-going feasibility
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors
• Organizing and ensuring delivery of goods in time
• Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements
• Preparing MIS reports
• Delegate tasks and monitor the transportation related procurement activities
• Preparing yearly budgets

Key Focus Areas of Work

• Developing procurement strategies to reduce overall transportation costs
• Controlling the primary freight budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on transportation costs
• Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks
• Institute policies and procedures that will reduce overall expenses while increasing productivity
