Job Title : VP of Software Engineering

Job Description :

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Vice President of Software Engineering to lead and scale our software engineering efforts for innovative healthcare products. This role is pivotal in driving the development, delivery, and evolution of software solutions that enhance patient outcomes, optimize workflows, and comply with healthcare regulations. The VP of Software Engineering will oversee the engineering strategy, architecture, and execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the creation of robust, scalable, and user-centric products.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent leadership training is a plus.

- 20+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 6 years in a senior leadership role.

- Proven track record of delivering complex healthcare or regulated software products at scale.

- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.

- Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

- Expertise in modern programming languages and frameworks (.Net, Microservice, Angular, Azure DevOps,).

- Excellent team-building, communication, and decision-making abilities.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable technical roadmaps.

- Experience managing distributed or global engineering teams is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Leadership and Strategy :

- Develop and execute the software engineering vision and strategy to align with the companys healthcare product goals.

- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

- Collaborate with executive leadership to define product roadmaps and technical priorities

2. Technical Excellence :

- Drive the architecture and development of secure, scalable, and compliant healthcare software solutions.

- Oversee the adoption of modern technologies, tools, and best practices in software development, deployment, and maintenance.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, FDA, ISO 13485, and other healthcare regulations.

3. Product Development and Delivery :

- Partner with Product Management, UX Design, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, user-focused products on time and within budget.

- Implement agile methodologies to enhance productivity, transparency, and predictability in project delivery.

- Manage and optimize engineering workflows to achieve rapid iteration and continuous improvement.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Act as a key liaison between engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.

- Communicate technical strategies and progress to internal and external stakeholders, including executives and investors.

5. Operational Efficiency :

- Oversee the engineering budget, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.

- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to software quality, delivery timelines, and system reliability.

- Establish processes to mitigate risks, manage incidents, and maintain business continuity.
