Our client, a prominent global payments firm, is seeking an AVP, Marketing Business Partnerships - Credit Cards to lead and execute customer communication strategies focused on the migration of existing credit card customers to new partner cards. This role is pivotal in delivering effective below-the-line communications and engagement plans to enhance customer retention and experience.
The role can be carried out in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi, UAE, with travel required between locations. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Business Partnerships for Credit Cards at a leading bank, this is a 6-month (extendable) engagement where the selected professional will collaborate closely with agencies, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure executional excellence and seamless customer experiences.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Customer Communications:
- Develop and execute customer communications for credit card migration and 90-day engagement plans.
- Plan and identify required communications for target customers, including timing and channels.
Creative and Copy Management:
- Manage agencies to prepare communications in both English and Arabic for channels like SMS, push notifications, and EDMs.
- Oversee copy and messaging approvals across credit card products, legal, compliance, and marketing teams.
- Manage agency partners to develop creative templates and visuals with relevant approvals.
Execution and Project Management:
- Handle HTML development for EDMs, ensuring visuals, preheaders, and links are properly loaded.
- Manage the end-to-end customer journey from EDMs to the client bank's website and digital platforms.
- Coordinate data requests, manage communication testing, and schedule EDM, SMS slots.
Performance Tracking:
- Track and assess marketing performance pre, during, and post-launch, ensuring corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure projects are executed on time and within budget, delivering executional excellence.
Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related discipline
- 8+ years of relevant experience in marketing.
- Previous experience in a marketing role working with agencies and cross-functional teams.
- Background in FMCG or banking marketing preferred; experience in advertising or marketing agencies is also acceptable.
- Experience with global, regional, and local marketing teams.
- Familiarity with both developed markets and regional market dynamics.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in reviewing and developing effective English copy.
- Creative skills with an understanding of marketing strategies, particularly for below-the-line communication.
- Excellent project management skills, including managing timelines, budgets, and cross-departmental alignment.
- Proficiency in technology and comfort with digital tools for communication.
- Fluency in English, with Arabic fluency preferred.
This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 6 moths contract. This role ca be carried out of either Dubai/Abu Dhabi (UAE) with travel required between the emirates.
