Solution Architect - Consulting Firm - Contractual (13-20 yrs)

Our client who is a management consulting firm is seeking an experienced Solution Architects to join their client's team for a 6-month(extendable) Project term in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The selected candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining Java applications, ranging from complex groups of back-end services to client-end counterparts (desktop and mobile). This role requires a strong commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and maintaining product quality.

Responsibilities:

Technical Design and Development:

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.

- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.

- Ensure applications perform optimally and meet quality standards.

- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise robust solutions to these problems.

- Maintain high standards of code quality, organization, and automatization.

Team Leadership and Project Delivery:

- Manage a team of developers to ensure successful project delivery.

- Collaborate closely with other team members and stakeholders across different layers of the infrastructure.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

- 13+ years of professional experience in software architecture and development.

- Strong experience in Java & Java EE, with proficiency in writing reusable Java libraries.

- Extensive familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (mandatory), with good knowledge of Azure and Google Cloud (good to have).

- Working experience in Spring Boot 2.x, Spring Cloud, Angular > 6 / React JS, and Node JS.

- Familiarity with Generative AI, LLM, OOPS, MVC, JDBC, RESTful, WSDL, XML, XSD, JSON, and Swagger Open API specification.

- Experience in both NoSQL (AWS DynamoDB preferred) and RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL) databases, including complex SQL query writing.

- Proficient in Spring framework (various modules), Hibernate ORM, and implementing Spring Security and OAuth2.

Technical Skills:

- Deep understanding of modern architectural styles and practices such as Microservices, Containers, APIs, Continuous Delivery, Event-driven architecture, Evolutionary architecture, etc.

- Experience with messaging technologies like JMS, Active MQ, IBM MQ, and Apache Kafka.

- Knowledge in container-based architecture - Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.

- Proficient in automated testing platforms and unit tests.

- Understanding of code versioning tools, such as RTC, GIT, and build tools like Ant, Maven, and Gradle.

Professional Certifications:

- Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master, or related certifications are highly desirable.

- Specific training in Agile Scrum Master and Agile Product Owner disciplines.
