Data Center Facility Operations - Shift Lead

Job Purpose

Responsible for 24*7 Data Center Operations by managing electrical, mechanical and IBMS infrastructure, which includes GIS substation, Transformers, MV panels, DG, LT panels, UPS, Battery Banks, SMPS, PDU, Chillers, PAHU, Motors, Lightning arrestors, Earth Pits, Diesel Engines, CPM, VRF, Valves, VFD, Ventilation systems, CHW pipes, Pumps, Hydrant system, Plumbing, Containment, FAS, Fire detection system, FSS, VESDA, WLD, RRS, PAS, CCTV etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing 24*7 DC operation maintaining 100 % service availability
• Ability to work on 24*7 rotational shifts and manage calls and tickets for all incidents and service request
• Responsible for Preventive & Breakdown maintenance
• Coordinate with OEMs/Vendors for routine PM and BM activities
• Incident management, change management
• Coordinate with customer for day-to-day activities
• Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly reports to Management and customer
• Responsible to prepare RCA for unplaced incidents and outages
• Ensure all SOP, EOP, MOP being meticulously implemented and followed
• Adhere to all statutory compliances
• Coordinate with Electricity, CEIG, PCB etc… officials whenever required
• Manage and track customers SLA
• Manage and track internal and vendor’s OLA
• Manage customer escalation on time for closure of issues with agreed TAT and SLA
• Manage power provisioning and customer delivery during commissioning phase
• Responsible to maintain process and implement ISO standards across functional area
• Coordinate for risk identification, mitigations programs and execute internally
• Responsible for training to site team managing MEP and supporting system
• Coordination for periodic audits and compliance requirement
• Responsible for mechanical safety practices in site
• Assets management and tracking incoming /out going materials
• Responsible for maintaining uptime and availability of Data Center
• Raise Change request and for site related activity and update /modification or during periodic maintenance
• Responsible for tracking and managing PUE & WUE of data center.

Relevant Experience

• 4-6 Years of relevant hands-on experience in data center operations
• Should have vast experience in trouble shooting and maintenance of GIS, Transformers, DG, UPS, PDU, Chiller, PAHU, Firefighting systems etc…
• Experience in handling multiple OEMs/Vendors related to MEPs
• Must have experience on preventive maintenance for UPS , PAHU ,AHU ,DGs , transformers and all other datacenter supporting MEPs and security systems
• Must have hands-on experience on handling DCIM/BMS /CCTV /ACCESS control and other security system
• Must have experience handling customer calls , incidents , problems and remote-hands-services
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent problem identification and incident management skills

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/B-Tech or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical
