What The Role Offers

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements for iOS and Android .
• Identify test scenarios for various device types, screen sizes, and operating system versions.
• Prioritize test cases based on risk assessment and project timelines.
• Execute manual test cases on a variety of iOS and Android devices to verify functionality, usability, and compatibility.
• Perform thorough regression testing to ensure new features do not impact existing functionalities.
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues not covered by scripted test cases.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks like Appium to automate repetitive test cases for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.
• Log detailed defect reports with clear descriptions, screenshots, and steps to reproduce issues in a defect tracking system.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve identified defects.
• Conduct performance testing to evaluate app responsiveness, load times, battery usage, and memory consumption on various devices.
• Test applications across a wide range of iOS and Android devices, including different screen sizes, resolutions, and operating system versions.

What you will need to succeed

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or related technical field
• Proven practical experience of at least 8 years as a QA Engineer.
• QA knowledge - Design and execute tests according to specs (requirements), report
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and life cycle
• Expertise in manual and automated testing on iOS and Android platforms
• Familiarity with automation frameworks like Appium, Selenium, or other relevant tools
• Knowledge of mobile device capabilities and limitations
• Basic understanding of programming languages like Java or Python (preferred)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects effectively
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with developers and stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of mobile testing tools like Firebase Test Lab, Browser Stack, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with API testing concepts
• Experience with performance testing tools (optional)
