Your Impact:
This position is for a global software auditor and inventory analyst who will form a key part of OpenText Compliance Management Team. The compliance team is responsible for the protection of Intellectual Property and contractual rights held in the software produced across all business lines.
What the role offers:
The auditor is a key resource for the compliance team and caries significant responsibility in the overall license verification process.
This individual will be responsible for the creation of complete, accurate and verifiable reports evidencing a customers deployment of software at, or prior to the point or audit. Such reports form the basis of the teams assessment of a customers license compliance and are therefore mission critical.
To create such high-quality inventory reports, the auditor will utilize remote guided self-audit, and / or manage and guide third party audit firms to conduct the inventory collection on company's behalf.
The position requires significant experience and understanding of software discovery methodologies and toolsets, auditing best-practice, inventory data analysis, and project management.
The successful candidate will also have a thorough understanding of the ways in which software can be deployed, managed, and distributed across large enterprises.
While analytical and technically-minded, the successful candidate must also be able to clearly and confidently communicate technical or audit-related information to potentially non-technical recipients be they externally or internally based, located worldwide.
The Auditor should also be comfortable handling multiple simultaneous engagements, driving each against a stringent timeline and reporting progress to the compliance manager.
This position also requires that the successful candidate must be able to analyze, understand, and formulate audit process and procedures for new and existing software products.
This individual will need to have some experience and comfort in reading and understanding software contracts and software license agreements as well as formulating strategies to audit for the software based on the terms of those agreements.
What you need to succeed:
Require 3- 5 years of experience Software Asset Management or software auditing.
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Directory Management Skills (AD, LDAP,eDir)
Multilingual
Visual Basic skills
SQL Skills
Good communication (telephonic and direct)
Strong analytical and logic skills (High level of Excel, SQL, DBA skill essential)
Project management expertise
Familiarity with SAM / Discovery toolsets
Thorough understanding of IT infrastructures and deployment methodologies
Strong Understanding of Directory Environments (AD, eDir, etc)
Familiar with standard Software License Agreements and the ability to read and understand software contract language
Software audit experience
