Design Engineer - CAD Checker - centrifugal compressor

Role & responsibilities

• To Verify/Check/Review engineering drawings, 3-D models using NX & Teamcenter, to support drawing conversion, revision of drawings of components & assemblies in compliance standards and practices for different products.
• To reduce design/drafting errors cause for rework or scrap the engineered parts in manufacturing.
• To provide timely feedback to detailers & layout drafters for improvement of quality of drawings.
• To improve first pass yield (FPY)
• Check and approve the engineering drawings from the points of view of technical completeness, clarity, conformance with the specifications, dimensional accuracy, and the correct specification of materials and processes.
• Check & verify Bill of Materials (BOM) that matches the drawing.
• Provide feedback on drawings to Detailer after quality check. •
• Verify Globus workflows for all the required properties filled out.
• Participation of design review meetings & focus group meetings.
• Switch within priorities to align with delivery commitments.
• Keep work status up to date in database.
• Basic knowledge of Turbo machinery

Preferred candidate profile

• Good hold on basic engineering & drawings •
• Globus hands on experience •
• Basic knowledge of ASME Y14.5 •
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes like casting, forging, welding •
• Knowledge of Parametric modeling, Expression based modeling, Part families, Wave-Link Geometry •
• Sound documentation capabilities wit MS applications like Outlook, Word Excel & PowerPoint.
