About the Role : Structural Design Engineer

• This position is responsible for producing high quality Building designs for Nxtra Data Centers.
• Responsible to work on all phases of development including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration.
• Major Responsibility :
• Taking responsibility for leading and managing projects from Concept design stage, through development of design and all necessary stages (Master planning, concept design and Detail engineering) or applications for statutory approvals, data center functional requirements, specifications, tender process, including inspection of projects on site.
• Preparation of Structural working drawings including all details of structural elements for all Nxtra data center facilities.
• Understanding the requirement of project and proposal of most optimized & efficient structural design solution.
• Structural design of Data center buildings from formulation of requirements to detail execution drawings and site supervision and coordination with Architectural & all MEP services.
• Detailed review of design documents, drawings and tender documents based on development control regulations and code compliances.
• Knowledge of relevant IS codes & required international codes for structural design.
• Coordination with consultants & venders for review & approvals of consultants/vender’s drawings and documents.
• Strong technical and practical CAD skills.
• Proficient in RCC & Steel structure design.
• Requisite Skills :

Functional

• 7-10 years’ experience working in commercial / IT structural design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Familiarity with BIM highly desirable
• Shall be conversant with IS codes i.e. IS 456, IS 800, IS 1893, IS 13920 etc.
• Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and quickly-changing environment.
• Needed to adept at communicating with project managers and Design Consultants to develop and implement construction objectives.
• Essential areas/ factors/ conditions in which incumbent should have experience
• Shall be proficient in ETABS, STAAD, SAFE & RCDC software.
• Extensive experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Most important contribution and outcome needed from the position through KRAs
• Developing conceptual and detail Structural drawings.
• Vendor drawing review.
• Tender specifications, Estimates of BOQ and cost, Design Intent Memorandum, Detail specification.
