The Opportunity

We are looking for passionate developers to work on scalable distributed file systems. You will work on hard problems at scale and will have the autonomy to deliver. You will be contributing to the design and development of scalable distributed systems for Nutanix Files.

About the Team

As a potential job applicant at Nutanix working on the Nutanix Files team, you will be part of a diverse and geographically dispersed team with members located in the US, India, and Serbia. You will report to Amit Agrawal, Director of Engineering, who joined Nutanix in 2019 with extensive experience in the storage and networking domain from reputed companies like Dell EMC and Cisco. Amit is dedicated to fostering a culture of growth, where every team member is appreciated and empowered. You will be required to go into the office 2-3 days a week as part of the work setup.

Your Role

• Work on next-generation Enterprise File Storage software enabling customers to reduce data fragmentation and storage sprawl by consolidating silos onto a single platform that easily scales to meet storage needs.
• Design and develop a scalable, distributed system for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  Provide technical leadership for end-to-end high quality and performant software development and delivery.
• Work with product managers, architects, and other technical leads to understand requirements and develop innovative solutions.
• Design and develop software for a converged compute + storage platform for secondary and tertiary data.
• Develop a keen understanding of complex distributed systems, and design creative solutions for customer requirements.
• Engage with customers, partners, and support to provide world-class software and support experience to end customers.
• As Technical lead , Mentor and Review Work products of Team members.
• End to end Ownership of Features - Design, Development and Unit tests along with Schedule and Quality.
• As a Feat Lead , you will drive other virtual team members to deliver on the committed roadmap.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Computer Science or related fields with 6yrs years of relevant industry experience.
• Love of programming, ability, and passion to solve complex problems.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
• Experience building scalable fault-tolerant distributed or cloud-native systems
• Mastery in Files domain. Deep Understanding of File protocols like NFS, SMB, ZFS
• Have a bias for action and be able to rapidly implement and iterate solutions to complex technical problems spanning across multiple teams and technologies.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
