Finance Specialist

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team with a focus on providing cross-functional financial reporting and commercial insights. This role requires collaboration with various departments (sales, operations, business development) to help drive strategic business decisions, financial planning, and performance evaluation. The Financial Analyst will ensure that key commercial metrics are tracked accurately and will provide detailed analysis to support the business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cross-Functional Reporting:

• Collaboration: Partner with commercial, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that financial and operational data are accurately captured, interpreted, and presented in a manner that meets each teams needs.
• Data Integration: Consolidate data from multiple sources (sales, marketing, finance, operations) to create comprehensive reports that support cross-functional decision-making.
• Dashboard Development: Build and maintain interactive financial dashboards and reports that visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) across various departments.
• Ad-hoc Reporting: Prepare customized reports for different teams, including tracking project costs, performance metrics, and commercial KPIs (e.g., sales margin, customer acquisition costs, and profitability).

2. Commercial Performance Analysis:

• Revenue and Profitability Analysis: Work closely with the commercial team to analyze revenue, sales performance, margins, and profitability. Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Market and Segment Analysis: Provide financial insights on product performance, customer segments, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
• Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in developing forecasts and budgets for the commercial teams. Track actual vs. forecasted performance and provide variance analysis.

3. Strategic Decision Support:

• Profitability Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of product lines, sales channels, and customer segments to drive strategic decisions that enhance profitability.
• Cost Optimization: Work with commercial teams to analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost-saving and margin improvement across the business.
• Investment Analysis: Evaluate business investments and capital expenditures, particularly those related to commercial growth initiatives, product launches, or marketing campaigns.

4. Business Partnering & Communication:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key financial business partner to the commercial team. Provide clear, actionable financial insights and communicate complex financial data in an understandable way.
• Strategic Recommendations: Present regular updates to senior management regarding commercial performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build relationships with leaders across other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, operations) to understand their goals, challenges, and provide financial insights that inform their strategy.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, with exposure to commercial teams or business strategy. Experience in cross-functional reporting is highly desirable.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
• Experience with financial reporting tools like SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar.
• Manufacturing analysis: cost structure and efficiency, efficiency KPIs, profitability drivers and etc
• Ability to build and maintain financial models, particularly for profitability analysis and forecasting.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio to present insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
