Transmission Expert

The Transmission expert performs fault and configuration management activities to serve the customer directly or through the customer interface, under supervision and following defined procedures. Assures End-to-end fault/incident & problem management with the main objective of resolution to SLA & OLA requirements. They solve the higher level of escalation in case of network incidents and are responsible for the resolution, analysis, and expertise in case of complex faults that require deep procedural and technical knowledge .

Knowledge & ExperienceEstablished skills and knowledge of theory and principles within a professional discipline. Uses functionally specific knowledge. Typically 5-8 years directly related experience covering below and a graduate equivalent degree.

Technical

• Having exposure to remote delivery and field team interactions in troubleshooting and configuration.
• Hands-on working experience in Huawei RTN/OSN/CX600/NE40 and OTN products operation /troubleshooting and configuration of 2G/3G and LTE sites
• Working experience on transmission topology, Microwave, fiber and IPRAN technology.

• Managing telecom network and elements.
• Working on transmission topology, Microwave, fiber and IPRAN technology.
• Exposure and hands-on working in Huawei RTN/OSN/CX600/NE40 and OTN products operation /troubleshooting and configuration of 2G/3G and LTE sites
• Working on multivendor microwave equipment of Ericsson/NEC /Nokia /Ceragon /MPR9500/CBNL/Solarwind.
• Extensively working on OTN /Ethernet and /IP technology being used in the Transmission Domain.
• Good Understanding of U2000 NMS/So_EM /Netviewer features and functionalities.
• Troubleshooting of TXN interfaces of Mobile Networks IuB/IuCs , IuPS ,GB,Abis Ater in TDM and Packet Environment.
• Extensively working on IPRAN, Huawei OSN, Huawei CX 600
• Interaction with other cross-functional domain like BSS/MPBN/PS/CS/IML/SL etc.
• Understanding and knowledge of trouble tickets life cycle and successful closure of tickets to achieve SLA.
• Coordination with field team till closure of faults.
• Escalations by Voice, WhatsApp, and mail as per Escalation matrix.
• Coordination with 3rd party fiber, Infra Provider, and Field Team to clear alarms.
• Ability to resolve remotely and guide teams on ground.
• Perform Change activities as asked by a customer
• Understand customer requirements and act accordingly in shortest possible time.
