Position Summary:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) HR will play a critical role in shaping the companys human resource strategies, policies, and processes. This leadership position is responsible for managing the HR operations, talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with management to define and implement HR strategies aligned with the company s business objectives.
  • Lead the planning and execution of workforce strategies, including talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Provide insights on organizational design, HR analytics, and key HR performance indicators.
  • Ensure the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
  • Ensure the company s hiring needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Design and implement workforce planning strategies, ensuring a diverse and skilled workforce.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting employee well-being and engagement.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees to address grievances, concerns, and conflicts.
  • Develop and implement employee recognition and reward programs to enhance motivation and retention.
  • Ensure the implementation of performance management systems, including performance reviews, goal setting, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Provide guidance to line managers on handling employee performance issues and development plans.
  • Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote continuous learning opportunities through workshops, e-learning platforms, and external certifications.
  • Training Need Analysis (TNA) is the process of identifying and assessing the skills and knowledge gaps within an organization to design targeted training programs that enhance employee performance and productivity.
  • Collaborate with management to design compensation plans, benefits programs, and employee incentive schemes.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with POSH, labor laws, regulations, industry standards and Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure the administration of HR programs related to compliance, including health and safety, employee leave, and workplace discrimination.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks and policy manuals in line with changing legal requirements.
  • Manage HR systems and tools for effective tracking of employee data, payroll, benefits administration, and performance management.
  • Identify opportunities for digital transformation in HR processes and advocate for innovative solutions.
  • Ensure data privacy and confidentiality within HR systems.
  • Ensure the entire payroll processing cycle is executed in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner, including. Processing employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Managing payroll inputs and statutory benefits (e.g., Provident Fund, Gratuity, etc.).
  • Preparing and distributing payslips, ensuring employees are informed about their earnings and deductions.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws, tax laws, and company policies related to payroll.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Expertise in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Deep understanding of labor laws, compensation, benefits, and compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and HRIS systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage employees.
  • Leadership & Vision: Ability to lead HR teams with a clear vision and a strategic outlook, driving HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Decision Making: Strong decision-making skills based on both data analysis and organizational intuition.
  • Change Management: Expertise in driving organizational change while managing resistance and ensuring smooth transitions.
