Overview
The Junior Sales Engineer - Cloud & Disaster Recovery plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between advanced technical solutions and client needs. In todays digital landscape, where businesses rely heavily on cloud computing and data recovery, this position is essential for helping organizations secure their infrastructures against potential failures. The Junior Sales Engineer will work closely with account managers, technical teams, and clients to deliver tailored solutions that meet the specific demands of various industries. This role involves not only understanding the technical aspects of cloud and disaster recovery services but also effectively communicating these solutions to clients in a clear and compelling manner. A successful Junior Sales Engineer will demonstrate a keen ability to identify client needs, propose appropriate solutions, and ultimately drive sales while fostering strong business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and executing sales strategies for cloud and disaster recovery products.
  • Collaborate with senior sales engineers to prepare technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Respond to technical inquiries from clients and prospects about cloud solutions.
  • Engage with potential customers to understand their business needs and provide tailored advice.
  • Research and analyze market trends to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed technical proposals that address client requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings to present cloud and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Support the sales team by providing technical information and insights during client negotiations.
  • Assist in post-sale support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain relationships with clients post-sales to identify additional opportunities.
  • Conduct demonstrations of cloud and disaster recovery technologies.
  • Document sales activity and maintain records of interactions with clients.
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote the companys offerings.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure alignment on messaging and campaigns.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and industry changes related to cloud computing.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Redial sales or technical support experience, preferably in cloud computing.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical clients.
  • Proficiency in presentation software and general office applications.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales management tools.
  • A proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and presentations.
  • Passion for technology and a desire to learn about new advancements in the industry.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
  • Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles is advantageous.
