JOB DESCRIPTION:
Yourjob responsibilities will include,
GST COMPLIANCE SUPPORT: (50%-70%)
FILINGOF GSTR-1 (OUTWARD SUPPLY)/ GSTR 3B (Summary Return)/ GSTR 9/9C (AnnualCompliances)
Liaisewith internal/ external finance and accounts team, and other department forrequired data and information;
Reviewof key aspects such as valuation, place of supply and time of supply, in thelight of GST provisions;
Reviewof outward/ inward supply invoices, agreements, debit notes and credit notes, including HSN / SAC summary, including periodic scrutiny of liability and othertax related GLs and ensure reconciliation;
Preparationreturns and related workings/schedules for allocated states and sharing withreviewer.
Availingcredit after reconciliation with GSTR 2A/2B, ITC reversal as per the applicablerules/ procedure;
Paymentof liability, preparation of challan;
Co-ordinationwith ASP/GSP/Consultants/Internal team for filing of compliances.
PREPARATION AND FILING OF GST REFUNDS (10%-20%)
Preparationof various refund and submissions of the same in respect of the allocatedstates.
Replyto the Show cause notices, departmental enquiries.
Submissionand follow up with GST Department for refund claims.
CUSTOMS/FOREIGN TRADE RELATED (15%-25%)
Handlingcustoms (SEZ, EOU, STPI related compliance viz. preparation and filing ofreturns, permissions, maintenance of records.
Visitingdepartment for follow-up of permissions/ approvals.
OTHER MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT
Maintenanceof records as required under GST, Customs laws for allocated States andretrieve them as and when required;
Retrievaland sharing of workings / documents / information/ past records etc. with taxteam
/consultants for any scrutiny / enquiry/ assessments / appeals etc;
Stayupdated on latest tax rulings, changes in law and update the Taxation manualaccordingly;
Researchwork- relating to Indirect Tax rate, valuation, compliances, taxability, exemption etc.
Liaisewith external auditors to ensure smooth audits and reporting for quarterly /annual audits;
UnderstandingSOPs and implementing it in the routine course of work;
Providingsupport during internal/ external peer review;
Maintenanceof time sheet as per the internal rules and procedure.
Guiding, mentoring junior staff reporting to him/ her.
PrepareMIS and reports for senior management in respect of the allocated states, asand when required;
Preparationand filing of reply to the notices, departmental enquiries, Appeals, Representation before tax authorities.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:
A strongpassion and interest for tax and want to excel his long term career inlitigation;
Tally andMS Excel/ MS Word/ PPT Knowledge. Also proficient knowledge of using Computersystems and Government websites;
Basicknowledge of Indirect tax laws;
Ability to work in a team and guide/ managestaff reporting to him/ her.
Comfortable with department liasoning;
ExperiencedCA/ CS/ CWA having 6 months to 1. 5 years of relevant experience in a reputed CAFirm or Big 20 firms;
ExperiencedLLB degree holders having 1-3 years of relevant experience in a reputed CA/ LawFirm or Big 20 firms;
Fresher CA/CS/CWAhaving relevant experience during article ship (at least 2 years)
