  • Fixed annual CTC: 4-6 lpa

Purpose and Value Proposition of the Role

What’s the purpose of this role?

  • Understand the needs/challenges decision making hierarchy, timelines, of the potential customers from Marine, O&G, Heavy industry, Engineering sector to offer comprehensive solutions for engine repairs and ship repair.
  • Additionally, provide services including condition-based maintenance, remote asset monitoring, oil management, predictive diagnostic tools, and IoT solutions to enhance equipment lifespan and ensure zero failures for engines and other rotating assets.
  • The primary focus of this role will be to build and expand our business in the oil & gas and marine sectors. By doing so, we aim to position Neptunus as a leading one-stop technology solution provider in a growing market.
  • Closely work with International customers from India, Middle east, South East Asia, Africa & European Market

Key Linkages in the Role - Whom does the person work with - internal and external:

  1. Internal: The candidate will have access to the Senior-most Management - Directors, Head of Departments.Will have to work with the Sales and Operations Team.
  2. External: Contact Points will be technical managers, technical heads and directors, Engineering Team of Customer. As in any Sales role, Direct Contact with Customers Purchase Team is necessary.

 

Results and Activities

Achieve Diesel Engine spares order target of ₹60 crore per quarter by increasing sales from existing customers and converting new leads into opportunities

Exceed Sales Targets

  • Convert enquiries to orders by prioritizing hot leads and delivering ROI-focused pitches
  • Create impactful presentations tailored to customer needs.
  • Use CRM to track leads and ensure timely follow-ups.

Prospect Within Existing Accounts

  • Identify new opportunities
  • Propose relevant spares and bundled solutions.

Engage Decision Makers

  • Build relationships via on-site visits and tailored discussions.
  • Involve tech leads to address technical requirements and propose solutions.

Close Deals

  • Address objections with data-driven responses.
  • Negotiate to secure orders

 

Knowledge/Skills/Behaviors the Candidate Should Possess:

Knowledge (Functional and Non-Technical):

  • 2-3 yrs of experience of need creation, follow up, closing sales, account development and customer relationship management in Marine, Oil & Gas, Heavy Industries, Manufacturing, Engineering sectors. – (M)
  • Track Record of adding 3-5 NEW Customers OR 2 cr from new Customers per year over the past 2 years – (M)
  • Experience of working on CRM software – (N)

 Skills (Functional and Non-Technical):

  • Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas & make presentations in English – (M)
  • Should be well organized & have effective time management skill – (M)
  • Should have a strong follow up mechanism, Negotiation skills – (M)

 Behaviors (Technical and Non-Technical):

  • Should be highly persuasive, possess strong follow-up skills, and have the ability to influence effectively. – (M)
  • Hunger for Sales, Growth and Closing Deals – (M)
