Role Objective :
The Senior Windows Administrator will be a crucial member of the core infrastructure team, responsible for the management and maintenance of all Windows servers and operating systems. This role demands a certified and experienced professional with a proven track record in managing Windows distribution servers, especially within the fintech industry where 99.999% uptime is critical. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the Windows infrastructure, supporting the company's mission of delivering exceptional financial services.
Responsibilities :
Windows Server & Desktop Management :
- Administer and maintain Windows Server 2023/2022, Windows 2019, and Windows 11/10 environments.
- Implement and manage VMware virtualization solutions.
- Develop and implement centralized patch management strategies.
- Establish and enforce standard operating system policies and configurations.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of Windows-based systems.
Support & Troubleshooting :
- Perform in-depth log analysis to identify and resolve system issues.
- Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users and internal teams.
- Liaise with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices.
- Manage patch and upgrade deployments to minimize downtime.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Storage Technology Management :
- Manage and maintain RAID, SAN, and NAS storage solutions.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies.
- Implement and manage object-based storage solutions.
Debugging & Analytics :
- Utilize ticketing systems like Mantis and Jira for bug tracking and resolution.
- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards using MS Excel.
- Perform detailed analysis of system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Other Responsibilities :
- Track and manage service requests and incidents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a Windows Administration role, managing both desktop and server-side operating systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 50%.
- Proven experience in managing Windows distribution servers within the fintech industry (preferred).
- Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware.
- Knowledge of storage technologies, including RAID, SAN, and NAS.
- Proficiency in log analysis and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desired Skills :
- Experience with network analysis tools like Wireshark and Microsoft Message Analyzer.
- Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and email hosting.
- Proficiency in using Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) and Netwrix Account Lockout Examiner.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA).
