Position : Windows Engineer L3.
Qualifications : B.Tech/B.Computers/IT, Graduation/PG in Computers/IT.
Certifications : MCSE, VCA/VCP, ITIL.
Experience : 9 +Years.
Location : Vadodara.
Skills :
- Windows Administration preferably on Windows Server, VMware, Citrix Xen, Nutanix.
- Knowledge of monitoring & Management tools like logic Monitor, vCentre, SolarWinds etc.
- Advance windows OS installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of OS performance fine-tuning.
- Patch management.
- Worked on DNS, DHCP and active directory.
- Awareness of storage and multipathing.
- Advance Microsoft cluster configuration and troubleshooting.
- Virtualization configuration, troubleshooting of day to day issues and performance fine-tuning.
- Knowledge of VDI environment.
- Knowledge of Citrix Xen Center.
- Worked on native backup tools and commercial backup software.
- Advance IIS administration/trouble shooting and fine-tuning of service.
- Worked on hardware from different vendors.
- Hardware raid configuration and troubleshooting.
- Cross platform awareness.
- Good Knowledge of MSSQL and troubleshooting between OS and database.
- NOC & Datacenter experience.
- Working Knowledge of ITSM tools like Service Now (Preferred).
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Carry out the advance level of troubleshooting on Windows Server OS.
- Ensure that the tickets raised per shift are closed as per SLA and if not escalate as per the escalation Matrix defined.
- Technically update the tickets in ticketing system for all the issues handled / worked upon.
- Work on Change requests and take them towards closure as per defined timelines.
- Following up with Vendors hardware & software whenever required & resolve issues by minimizing downtimes.
- Performance analysis of data using monitoring Tool.
- Carry out OS, application and firmware upgrades as and when required.
- Carry out patch update activity for infrastructure as well as customer servers.
- Timely execution of SIP related task allocated by Team lead.
- Implementation of solutions as per Scope defined.
- Identify performance bottle neck and mitigate them.
- Work towards automation of day to day tasks.
- Follow the approval process for patch management, OS and firmware upgrade.
- Troubleshoot VDI issues.
- Manage and troubleshoot Virtualization Platforms.
- Escalation to L3, Managers in timely manner.
- Adhere to shift timings and shift handover process.
- Timely update/Quality update of tickets in the ticketing tool.
- Should have knowledge and understanding of customer problems and works towards their resolution in timely and efficient manner for improving customer experience.
- Should work towards enhancement of his skill set on a continual basis.
- Coordinate with Onsite team for updates/KT/Documentations
