Job Title: System Administrator III ( Windows, VMWare )
Reports to: IT Manager

Job Description:
The System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the companys IT infrastructure, with a focus on Windows Server environments, VMware virtualization technology, and database management across cloud platforms. This role requires deep technical knowledge and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
VMware Management : Manage and maintain the VMware virtual environment, including VM provisioning, adding disk space, and making VM changes.
Windows Server Administration : Administer Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022) including system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
System Monitoring: Ensure system availability and performance through monitoring and capacity planning.
Backup and Recovery : Manage backups and restore protocols to ensure data integrity and availability.
High-Availability Solutions : Implement and manage high-availability solutions such as failover clustering, replication, and load balancing.
System Updates : Perform system updates upgrades, and hardware and software migrations.
Technical Support : Work on support tickets and provide technical support and guidance to users and other administrators.
Documentation : Document procedures, systems configurations, and network layouts.
Active Directory Support : Provide support for Active Directory, including making DNS changes, creating service accounts, and troubleshooting Active Directory services.
Database Management : Install, configure, and maintain databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and RabbitMQ across cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
Project Work : Design, configure, implement, and test IT compute and storage solutions to address complex technical and business requirements.
Training : Train and assist internal support teams on new tools and procedures.
Routine Maintenance : Automate routine maintenance tasks and ensure proper backup procedures are in place and use.
24x7 Support : Participate in a 24x7 weekly rotation to provide systems support.
Infrastructure Services : Support storage, networking, operating systems, network security, directory services, and server virtuali s ation.
Capacity Reporting : Assist with monthly capacity reports and recommendations.
Standard Duties : Perform standard system administration duties including server installation , system/application installation and patch management, Windows problem determination and resolution, log analysis, etc.
Device Management : Provide device management and upgrade support with hardware personnel as required .
Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor s degree in computer science/information technology / or equivalent stream.
Certifications : Certifications like VMware Certified Professional (VCP) , Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate is an added advantage.
Requirements :
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
Proficiency in VMware ESXi and vCenter management.
Familiarity with backup and recovery software.
Advanced experience in complex IT operational environments.
Knowledge of Dell and Cisco hardware.
Experience : 5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator in a similar role. Minimum 3yrs troubleshooting experience should be must
Communication : Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Documentation : Proven ability to document work and work in a process-driven development environment.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position.
Candidates must be ready to work 5 days a week from Mumbai office.
Candidates should be ready to work in rotational schedules / shifts and supporting 24x7 operations.
