QA/QC Mechanical (Offroll)

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Quality Assurance / Quality Control

• Periodically check and ensure that the documentation for QA/QC is being properly maintained.
• Ensure timely closure of QDR, Non-conformance Reports, Deviations, etc by PMC / EPC Contractor
• Carry out random physical inspections at site along with Owner/PMC concerned personnel to ensure that QA/QC systems are in being implemented.
• Conduct Quality review meetings with PMC and EPC contractor.
• Monitoring of QA/QC related KPI at site and focus on continual improvement in Quality Aspects.
• Conduct surveillance at site to look for all processes/procedures are being followed by EPC/PMC.
• Ensure that all quality related are activities are carried out as per requirement without effecting the schedule and cost.
• Should have knowledge on ISO9001 :2015 QMS System and documentation.
• Able to resolve technical Issues related to inspection at vendor place.
• Establish operational, analytical and documentation standards aligned with industry best Practise.
• Evaluate the impact of process deviations on operations and the need for corrective or preventative actions.
• Oversee QC Tasks, ensuring Proper documentation of records and review of reports submitted to regulatory authorities.

Key Challenges

1. Coordination with internal and external stakeholders for timely completion of works as per Schedule.

2. Ensure compliance to all standards and specifications by PMC / EPC Contractors.

Skills & Knowledge

A. Educational Qualifications & Certifications:

1. BE / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering

2. ASNT Level 2 certification shall be an added advantage

B. Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience:

1. 7 to 10 year's experience Quality Assurance/ Quality control in Hydrocarbon industry.

2. Experience of working at construction sites in QA/QC.

C. Functional Skills:

1. Working knowledge of National/ International Standards and codes such as ASME, ASTM, IS, IEC and BSEN

2. ISO 9001 quality management system

3. Day to day co-ordination with PMC / EPC Contractors

4. Ability to monitor and report compliance to schedule and cost baselines.
