Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have 15-20 years of experience in IT, with at least 10 years of hands-on technical expertise and 3 years in a leadership role. This role demands proficiency in managing advanced systems and networks, including L7 switches and cloud networking technologies, alongside Azure cloud solutions and security tools.

The candidate will oversee the seamless operation of IT infrastructure, mentor a skilled team, and contribute strategically to ensure robust performance, scalability, and security. Exposure to AI platform infrastructure and integration will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership and Collaboration
• Lead and mentor the systems and network teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Align team goals with organizational objectives, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
• Provide operational insights and technical leadership during architecture and design reviews.
2. Advanced Networking and Cloud Networking
• Manage and maintain advanced L7 switches and enterprise-grade networking solutions.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot secure and scalable cloud networking setups.
• Configure and maintain Virtual Palo Alto firewalls and other cloud-based security solutions.
3. Azure Cloud Management
• Deploy, optimize, and manage Azure resources (VMs, VNets, and PaaS services).
• Implement advanced security configurations, including NSGs, Azure Firewall, and WAFs.
• Utilize automation tools (e.g., Azure CLI, PowerShell) to enhance efficiency.
4. Virtualization and Citrix Administration
• Oversee Citrix environments (DaaS) for efficient application and desktop delivery.
• Maintain and optimize virtualized infrastructures on platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
5. Security and Email Gateway Management
• Manage enterprise email gateways to ensure secure and reliable communication.
• Collaborate with security teams to mitigate spam, phishing, and malware threats effectively.
6. Web Application Firewalls (WAFs)
• Manage and support WAF solutions, ensuring optimal web application security.
• Refine WAF policies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance protection.
7. AI Platform Infrastructure Support
• Support the deployment and operation of AI platforms, ensuring adequate compute, storage, and networking.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure challenges related to AI platforms and recommend optimizations.
8. Monitoring and Optimization
• Leverage tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other monitoring platforms to proactively address performance issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience:
• 15-20 years in IT, with at least 10 years of hands-on technical expertise in systems, networking, and security.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role, managing technical teams and driving strategic initiatives.
• Proven experience with advanced networking technologies, L7 switches, and cloud networking solutions.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in Azure services (IaaS, PaaS) and hybrid cloud networking.
• Expertise in L7 switches, Virtual Palo Alto firewalls, and advanced networking concepts.
• Strong experience with Citrix environments, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud networking.
• Hands-on expertise with email gateways (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast) and WAFs (Azure WAF, Cloudflare, F5).
• Exposure to AI platform infrastructure and integrations.
• Automation skills using scripting tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar technologies.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Azure Administrator Associate, Citrix certifications (CCA-V, CCP-V), or equivalent.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or PCNSE.
• Certifications in email gateways or WAF technologies.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and team collaboration abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
