Job Brief:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief of Human Resources (CHRO) to lead our human resources initiatives and support our development programs. The CHRO will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing HR strategies that align with our mission to drive positive social, economic, and environmental change.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that support the organization's development goals and objectives.
- Talent Acquisition: Oversee recruitment and hiring processes to attract and retain top talent in the development sector.
- Employee Development: Design and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Performance Management: Establish and manage performance evaluation systems to ensure alignment with organizational goals and continuous improvement.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
- Compliance and Policies: Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, and develop HR policies that support organizational values.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, program managers, and external partners to align HR initiatives with development projects and goals.-
- Data Management: Utilize HR data to inform decision-making and drive strategic initiatives.
- Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives to support the evolving needs of the development sector.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: A Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Experience: Proven experience as a CHRO or in a similar role within the development sector.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Development Issues: Deep understanding of socio-economic development challenges and strategies to address them.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Cultural Sensitivity: An appreciation for diverse cultures and the challenges faced by communities in varying socio-economic contexts.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and use evidence-based approaches to inform decision-making and program adaptations.
