Job Responsibilities:

Expert knowledge of Cassandra architecture.

• Database backup and recovery.
• Hands-on experience in setting up Cassandra cluster (installing, configuring, upgrading,

managing).

• Cassandra database Administration on a Multi datacentre environment.
• Strong understanding of complex inner workings of Cassandra, such as the Gossip Protocol,

Hinted Hand offs, Read Repairs, Merkle Trees.

• A deep understanding of Cassandra design principals, cluster connectivity, security and the

factors that affect distributed system performance.

• Responsible for database deployments, and monitor for capacity, performance and

troubleshooting the issues.

• Advanced knowledge of various troubleshooting tasks (ex. Latency Analysis, Thread state

Analysis, etc.)

Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of work experience in Cassandra Database Administration

• Strong in SQL and NOSQL concepts.
• Shell scripting
• Degree/Masters degree in the computer science.
• Strong communication skills
