Job Purpose:
The Senior Manager of the Engineering Department will oversee mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and maintenance functions to ensure continuous production. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, energy optimization, and managing engineering staff for effective day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Engineering Department, focusing on maintenance strategy, preventive measures, and daily operations.
• Supervise and guide plant engineering staff in daily activities and ensure timely execution.
• Optimize plant energy efficiency (HVAC, electricity, steam, water systems, etc.).
• Implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for equipment failures.
• Manage the maintenance of plant utilities and ensure compliance with statutory and safety standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, TQM, etc.) and contribute to cost optimization.
• Monitor inventory and prioritize maintenance actions to reduce downtime.
• Ensure asset preservation and execute CAPEX projects within the approved budget.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth functioning of plant operations.

Key Skills:

• Expertise in Maintenance Planning, Utilities Management, Safety Management, and Process Optimization.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, MS Office, and QHSE systems.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage resources, and drive innovation.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• BE Mechanical Engineering (M.Tech preferred).
• Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in the Chemical Industry.
• Preferably 16-18 years of experience in the Agrochemical Industry with at least 3 years in a similar role.
