Role Summary

The CRO shall be responsible for ensuring the overall quality of the lending portfolio by planning and directing all aspects of credit risk

Key Attributes

• Ability to assess risks, create risk mitigation plans, and conduct thorough risk assessments
• Understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools, as well as the current operational, financial, strategic, and regulatory environment
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks, credit risk, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Assessing potential threats and defining suitable responses during system failures and planning a strategy to reduce risk exposure.
• Assessing Risk Tolerance.
• Providing education and training to stakeholders on risk management strategies.

Role & responsibilities

• Monitoring of Portfolio across the products at Macro and Micro Levels
• Design the policies, procedures, and processes ensuring appropriate mitigation of the risks inherent in all processes and product offerings.
• Establishing robust portfolio monitoring mechanism such as Early Warning Signals, Real time monitoring etc.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of information to the relevant stakeholders (which includes Top Management, Regulators, Rating Agencies)
• Identify known and emerging risks, measuring, monitoring and reporting on companies' risk profile to the Executive Leadership Team
• Evaluate proposals of finance by Risk Analytics and key policy making.
• Identify and resolve material credit risk issues
• Develop continuous monitoring and improvement of the quality of the organization's credit and lending portfolio through credit policy direction and implementation
• Establish and manage all departmental policies and procedures.
• Design sustainable processes to mitigate credit risk by framing the breadth and depth of control testing, evaluating business operations, participating in the evaluation of new products and business opportunities, and providing aggregated and detailed reports on credit risk in line with risk appetite and limit
• Develop contingency plans and strategies for crisis situations.
• Implement and leverage technological solutions for effective risk monitoring and management

Education Qualification

• Bachelors/Masters Degree
