The primary role of a Project Associate is to support the successful execution of engineering and technical projects through project coordination, documentation, reporting, handling internal and external communication, project tracking, resource management, quality control specifications, vendor management, coordinating and running project meetings, project documentation, and applying industrial and project management best practices. Key responsibilities include:
Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating engineering and technical services projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes.
Communication: Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring everyone is informed of project progress and updates.
Project Tracking: Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and work with the project manager to implement corrective actions as needed.
Resource Management: Support resource allocation and scheduling, ensuring that the right resources are assigned to projects at the appropriate time.
Quality Control: Assist in implementing quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors, ensuring they deliver on time and according to agreed-upon terms.
Project Meetings: Participate in project meetings, take meeting notes, and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion.
Project Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and other project-related records.
CAPM Principles: Apply project management principles based on the CAPM certification to contribute to successful project outcomes.
Knowledge Requirements Mandatory
Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
Methodology, discretion, and integrity in handling confidential information
Preferred
Prior experience in project coordination or support roles in the engineering and technical services industry.
Familiarity with project management tools and software.
Knowledge of engineering and technical services terminology and processes.
Experience and Qualification Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
CAPM certification is mandatory for this role.
Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply, but prior project coordination or support experience will be an advantage.
